Meet David Roberts, our Principal Product Manager for FinTech.
Tell us about your work.
My role is to drive product strategy, partnerships, development, and mobilisation of financial service products.
It's also about driving continued product and customer experience improvements.
We've just launched MyView PayNow, our financial wellbeing product that helps our customers' employees manage their money build financial resilience, and reach their goals.
We believe this will really help to differentiate Zellis in the market.
What do you enjoy the most?
Variety, and working alongside others to design and build products that make a real difference.
Each day is different and the breadth of role is wide, which means it's always interesting. I could be working with a cross-functional team to solve a technical problem one minute, creating commercial forecasts the next, prioritising the backlog, and then analysing designs to see which gives the simplest journey to improve customer experience.

How did you get to this point in your career?
I studied technology and business, then led product, innovation, and marketing teams at companies including Warburtons, Lidl, The Royal Mint for the Olympic Games, RAC, and Admiral. ■
