Survey: Top reasons people leave manufacturing jobs
New research lifts the lid on the sector's recruitment and retention issues — by asking the workers themselves.
71% of manufacturing employees rate training and upskilling as important, and 35% feel they aren't getting enough. For 28% of them, poor training is a reason to look for another job.
Other factors that drive people towards the exit include lack of recognition/appreciation (31%), toxic/unsupportive work culture (38%), and inadequate pay and benefits (43%).
